: I am climbing since more than 12 years through the mountains of teh MYKALE. I like your photograph, seen today first. If you want, I will declare some of the objects of the photos, because I collected and jointed a group of german archeologists. At first I beg you to correct the name of some photo: opposite of the peninsula Mykale is teh island of samos, not lesos.
: If I will have more time, I will send you more to your photos. Geatings from old europe
: K.B., whose knowlegdes of teh english language are not the best ones.
Thank you very much for contacting us. I am more a photographer than an archeologist so unfortunately I get some attributions wrong now and then. This was especially true with Mycale due to the fact that it is off limits as a military base and there is almost no information about it. I met a group of German archeologists who at the time were doing a survey of Priene and the area around there and who pointed out their idea of the location of "the pass of the Mylisians" mentioned by Herodotus to me. I lost the notebook where I had written their name however. Anyhow, we would be very happy indeed to incorporate any useful information you can send us regarding the objects and locations in our photo essay on Mycale.
